MCQC – IKF Telford

MCQC Telford is a self defence club run by Paul Brennan, the founder of Modern CQC. Paul served with 264 SAS Signal Squadron where he was qualified as a jungle warfare instructor and a combat survival instructor. He then joined West Mercia Police where he initially served as an armed response officer before becoming the Tactical Trainer for Shrewsbury and Telford Divisions, responsible for all aspects of officer safety training for divisional officers. He was a qualified trainer of trainers, a nationally qualified public order tactical trainer, a national public order tactical advisor and a SPEAR instructor. During this time he acquired an impressive range of related qualifications. He is also a qualified assessor, internal verifier and holds a wide range of teaching qualifications including a first class honours degree in adult education.

Paul has over 30 years of martial arts experience and holds teaching and coaching qualifications in Systema and Kapap and is a qualified CQB instructor certified by the International Kapap Federation. He is also the co-founder and training director of Stand2 (Specialist Training and Development) Ltd which provides conflict management and physical intervention training to a wide range of high profile companies and organisations throughout the UK.
